About Marketing Olfactiv

Marketing Olfactiv is a Romanian company specializing in professional ambient scenting and scent marketing, founded in 2017.

We provide professional scent diffusers, ambient fragrances and complete scenting solutions for retail spaces, hotels, offices, showrooms, clinics, gyms, stores, homes and vehicles.

We work both with companies that want fragrance to become a recognizable part of the experience offered in their space and with individuals who want to recreate at home the same level of scenting quality found in professional environments.

Who are we?

We are Alina and Marius, the co-founders of Marketing Olfactiv. We built the company around the idea that ambient fragrance should not be treated as a simple air freshener, but as part of the atmosphere and of the way a space is perceived and remembered.

Over time, we have developed a portfolio that covers both professional scenting projects and solutions for homes and vehicles, while keeping the same approach: choosing the right diffuser, fragrance and operating settings according to the space in which they will be used.

What is scent marketing?

Scent marketing is part of sensory marketing and uses fragrance to contribute to the atmosphere and identity of a space.

Smell is strongly connected to memory and emotion, and a well-chosen ambient fragrance can become part of the experience associated with a hotel, store, showroom, office or other commercial environment.

In a professional scenting project, it is not enough to choose “a fragrance that smells good”. The surface area and volume of the space, airflow, diffuser placement, desired intensity, operating schedule and the olfactory profile suitable for the environment all matter.

Professional scenting through nebulization

A significant part of the professional systems in our portfolio uses nebulization technology, which disperses ambient fragrance into very fine particles without using water and without heating the fragrance.

Depending on the model, diffusers may include features such as app control, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, scheduled operation, mains or battery power and different fragrance reservoir capacities.

The main difference compared with conventional ambient scenting lies in the ability to control fragrance intensity, operating intervals and fragrance distribution more precisely.

Car scenting

For vehicles, we offer compact scenting systems and ambient fragrances designed for smaller spaces.

The goal is the same: controlled and consistent scenting without oversaturating the interior with fragrance.

Scent diffusers and ambient fragrances

Our portfolio includes diffusers for different types and sizes of spaces, together with a broad range of ambient fragrances.

We do not consider the diffuser and the fragrance to be two completely separate products. The final result depends on the combination of diffuser, fragrance, placement and operating settings.

For this reason, we provide detailed technical information and guidance to help customers choose the right configuration.

Why is the company called Marketing Olfactiv?

The name was chosen to directly describe the field in which we operate.

Marketing Olfactiv means using scent as part of a sensory experience: fragrance can contribute to the atmosphere of a space, become associated with a brand and take part in the formation of a memory.

For us, ambient fragrance is not simply something that can be smelled in the air. It is part of the way a space is perceived.
