8. How long do we retain personal data?

• order and invoicing data and documents are retained in accordance with applicable tax and accounting retention periods; under current legislation, financial and accounting documents are generally retained for 5 years;
• account-related data is retained for as long as the account exists and afterwards only where there is a legal basis for continued retention;
• complaint, warranty and dispute data may be retained for the time required to resolve the matter and afterwards for the applicable statutory limitation periods;
• marketing data is processed until consent is withdrawn, the user unsubscribes or there is no longer a legal basis for retaining it;
• cookie-related data is retained according to the periods indicated for the respective technologies and the preferences expressed through the cookie management tool.

In certain situations, personal data may be anonymized so that it can no longer be used to identify an individual and may then be used in that form for statistical and analytical purposes.

9. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account and of personal data that is no longer required.

Deleting an account does not automatically result in the deletion of all information associated with it where Marketing Olfactiv has a legal obligation or justified right to retain certain data, for example financial and accounting documents or information required to manage warranties, complaints or potential disputes.

If there is an active order, certain information must be retained until the order has been completed.
